  Chapter 1

  Damon

The door opens before I can touch the handle, and a sexy blonde steps outside with a small turquoise suitcase in her hand and a black bag in the other.

"You're late," she tells me coldly. "I expected better from this kind of service," she says.

I stupidly turn around believing that she is talking with someone else because people don’t speak like that to me.

She swings her suitcase and places it in my arms.

"There's another suitcase next to the door. Please put it in the trunk too."

I stare at her in shock, and desire flickers to life inside me. I feel a burning heat down my spine, and every inch of me craves her. I stare at her.

  "I am not ..." I say.

The sexy blonde’s annoyance flares, and every muscle tenses in her exquisite body.

"I would like to leave in five minutes, so if you have stared at me long enough, I would like to leave. I looked on the Internet, and it’s a long drive," she says.

She raises her brow and taps her foot impatiently.

  It's sexy as hell.

"About five hours. And we have to stop and buy groceries.”

I clear my throat and extend my hand to her. “Hi, I'm Damon You...”

“Look, I don't care what your name is. I just want to leave. Could you please grab my bags and put them in the trunk?” she says.

I'm not sure what trunk she’s referring to, but I'm going to find out. I came here to be alone, but I guess I'm going on a road trip with a sexy blonde who can’t take no for an answer. “She must be one of Sara' s friends if Weston let her use his house.”

I turn toward the building and slowly walk the few steps to the front door where through the slightly ajar door I see another turquoise suitcase sitting on the floor. I almost smile when I see another blue suitcase, and I don't know if I’ll tell her I'm not her driver, but I guess I could take her to the airport. She came out of my brother's house, so it's clear she has a connection to him. Maybe she's a friend of my sister-in-law. I take a deep breath to calm myself. I take her suitcases and take it out of the building just in time to see the mysterious and sexy blonde climbing into my car and securing her seat belt.

I put her suitcase in the trunk and get into the car. "Where are we going, miss?" I say politely, trying to sound like a driver.

She opens her bag and takes out a piece of paper. Our fingers touch when she hands me the paper, and I feel an electric shock that runs through my arms and legs. She must have felt it too, because she blushes a little bit.

I realize I know the address when I read it. It’s my brother’s Zen cabin in the woods. He goes there when he wants to recharge his batteries. The curvy blonde in the back must be a close friend if he lets her use it.

We travel in silence for about four hours. She stares out the window deep in thought. Usually women want to get my attention, but not her. I turn up the radio when I hear something about an accident, and I see her go pale in my rear-view mirror. I wonder what’s up with that.

We pass the scene of an accident and I think my curvy beauty in the back is going to throw up, so I pull over. I get out of the car and open her door. She’s pale, so I extend my hand for her to get out. She’s a little wobbly on her feet, but she gives me a grateful look. She takes a deep breath, and her hands shake and then I realize something. I walk over to her and touch her shoulder.

"When did you have your accident?” I ask her. She raises her head in surprise and looks at me in amazement.

"How did you know?" she asks, her voice barely a whisper.

I shrug. "I thought that might be why you felt sick when we passed near the accident."

She nods. "Three months ago, I fell asleep at the wheel. I didn't sleep because I had a project to finish for work."

  “I’m sorry,” I say.

  “I was lucky I wasn’t badly hurt.”

“That’s why you needed a driver today?” I ask her. “You don’t want to drive anymore?”

She nods. “Yes, that’s why,” she says, and tears are streaming down her cheeks. I take her into my arms and marvel at how fragile she is and at the tough exterior she presents to the world. I hold her into my arms while she cries and realize I don’t mind it. Women’s tears annoy me usually, but with her I don’t mind. She can cry all she wants.

  Chapter 2

  Daisy

His gaze burns with such intensity, I feel nerves flutter in my belly. He’s such a handsome, sexy man, and I just ugly cried in front of him. I’m sure he’s happy he has such a crazy client who just had a meltdown in front of him. I can’t remember the last time I cried in front of anyone. People use your emotions against you, so I make sure to never show any. I guess he won’t have a chance to do that, since I won’t be seeing him after today.

He lets me have a few minutes alone in the car to pull myself together, and he never says anything about my meltdown after we get back on the road.

“You said you want to buy groceries, yes? My GPS shows me there’s a store about a mile from here. Do you want me to stop?”

“Yes, please,” I say. I’m suddenly shy around him and steal a few furtive glances.

He’s tall and well-built with a narrow waist and sandy blonde hair and the most striking blue eyes I have ever seen. He looked at me with kindness when I had my meltdown and helped me without making a scene.

He pulls into the store parking lot and opens my door. “Thank you,” I say and smile at him. He smiles back, and since we are so close to each other, I can see him take a deep breath. I can’t deny my attraction to him any longer, so it’s a good thing I’m never going to see him again. I clear my throat. “I won’t be long, Damon.” I extend my hand to him. “Hi, I’m Daisy Packer. Nice to meet you, Damon. I’m sorry I was rude to you when you arrived.”

His eyes crinkle when he smiles. “Apology accepted,” he says and steps back.

  “Let’s go,” he says.

“You can stay in the car, Damon,” I say.

He laughs and his eyes are dancing with mirth. “What kind of gentleman would I be? I need to carry your bags. But we need to hurry because there’s a storm coming.”

  ***

I wake up because I'm cold. I pull the thick blanket around my body and listen to the raindrops on the roof. I take a deep breath. We barely made it to the cabin in the storm, and Damon couldn’t leave after that. Luckily, he had some clothes in his car. It’s been raining since we got to this damn mountain, and this cabin is not big enough for me and Damon.

  Damon.

/>   If I don't leave this cabin soon, I'm going to end up in bed with him. I see the hunger in his eyes when he looks at me, and I'm done with relationships. After the fiasco with my ex-fiancé, I’ve given up men. My life is simpler this way. Not all of us are as lucky as my sister Sara. Everyone loves Sara. My mom, her dad, her husband. Do they love me? Not so much.

I won't wallow in self-pity. I have work to do. My job is the only thing that keeps me breathing, so I'm going to walk into the kitchen, make myself some coffee, and grab my laptop and get to work. I won't hide in my bedroom because of one moment of weakness. One little kiss. Granted, it's was hottest kiss of my life but still ...

I force myself to get out of bed and take a shower. I'm wearing a pair of yoga pants and a T-shirt. I go to the kitchen and make myself a coffee while I eat a bowl of cereal with milk. Damon is nowhere around, and I'm glad he’s not. I wash my bowl and spoon and then grab my cup of coffee and place it on the desk. I look out the window a bit, but it's foggy and not much can be seen. I sigh. It's a little depressing to be in such a beautiful place and not be able to enjoy the scenery, but that's how it is. I hope the rain and storms end in a few days and Damon can leave so I can enjoy the cottage alone. Although, if I think about it, I'm used to having him around even if I've only known him for two days.

I sit at my desk and open my laptop. It's a shame that the Internet doesn't work, but in the meantime, I can work quietly without being disturbed. After an hour of work, I am disturbed by the silence and I wonder where Damon is. His car is still in the driveway, so he hasn’t left. I’m strangely relieved about that. I get up from my desk and go outside to get some fresh air and bring in some firewood. A warm fire would improve my mood.

I make the fire in the fireplace and hear noises in Damon’s room. I get back to work-on the sofa this time-and he comes out of his room about an hour later. He’s up later than he usually is.

  Chapter 3

  Damon

Three days later, I stay up most nights thinking about her, and I think I'm going to die of blue balls.

I want her. Desperately. I don't normally have a problem getting the women I desire into my bed, but she seems immune to my charms. I cook her breakfast every morning to make sure she eats, otherwise she doesn't eat a lot.

I kind of like our morning routine even though she doesn't say much and never talks about herself. For an evil stepsister, she seems like a nice person once you spend time with her.

I usually retreat to my room after breakfast. Even though she thinks I'm on vacation, I have a business to run. Thankfully, I had my laptop in my car, but the Internet still doesn’t work, so I have to bark orders into my phone to keep everything and everyone in line. I already asked my pilot to come and get us out of here, but he says he can’t land yet. Maybe in a few days.

The problem is, I kissed her last night, and everything is awkward now. I wanted to take her to my bed so badly last night. I let her run to her room instead.

I gave her a little bit of spaghetti sauce to taste, and when she moaned and licked her lips, I lost it. All that animal hunger and sexual longing made me cross the line. She’s Sara’s sister. But I couldn’t help myself.

I groan when I come out of my room and see her. She's even sexier with a pair of glasses on, perched on the sofa with her laptop in her lap.

I sneak glances at Daisy while I eat my bacon and eggs. We usually have breakfast together, but she’s decided to ignore me today. She’s barely looked at me once since we kissed last night. She’s not a morning person and usually wakes up around eight o’clock, but she’s been up since six this morning. I guess she couldn’t sleep either.

She’s sitting at the oak desk my brother installed near the window. Her fingers are flying across the keyboard, and I’m starting to feel jealous of her laptop.

I sigh and take another bite, chewing slowly while looking at her. She stops typing, and she’s staring at the screen. I groan as she bites her lips, and I feel myself get hard. Again.

I take a sip of coffee and burn myself, spitting hot liquid all over my eggs.

She eyes me momentarily and rushes to my side. “Are you, okay, Damon?” she asks me and grabs a few paper towels and wipes the table.

“Yeah, I just burned myself. I’m fine, Daisy,” I say and touch her elbow. She raises her head and our eyes meet. We look into each other’s eyes for a few seconds and then I lean in and kiss her her.

She has the sweetest lips I’ve ever tasted, and I never want to stop. I’m a little disturbed by the intense, raw attraction I have for her.

“I don’t want to stop, Daisy,” I say and pray to all the gods that she doesn’t say no.

She just stares at me, so I give her a little space to answer. I raise my eyebrow and cross my arms over my chest so I don’t just grab her and bend her over the table.

She bites her lip, and her eyes dart from my eyes to her bedroom door and then back to me.

“Daisy? Answer me, please,” I command.

“I don’t want you to stop,” she tells me.

I take a deep breath and study her for a moment.

I see her nipples tense and a delicious shudder shoots through her. I claim her lips and touch her breast with my right hand. I stop for a moment to take her shirt off. I’m rewarded when I see her pink and swollen nipples begging to be sucked.

I dip my head down and take a nipple into my mouth and suck on it until I’m rewarded with little mewling sounds.

I trace the curve of her buttocks and then take her yoga pants down. I brush the damp cotton of her panties with my hands, and a shiver of excitement runs through her. I’m hard as a rock and can hardly wait to make her mine.

  Chapter 4

  Daisy

I can’t believe I’m doing this. I have never been so aroused in my life. I tense a little when he takes my panties off and traces my pussy lips with his fingers.

I shiver with excitement, and he does it again just to get the same reaction. He laughs softly as his fingers continue to softly brush over my sex.

“Are you ready, Daisy?” he says huskily in my ear. He has the most amazing raspy voice during sex, and I nearly come on the spot when his fingers lightly brush my clit.

“Do you like that, Daisy?” he says. “Do you want to come?”

Is he freaking kidding me? Of course I want to come. “Yes, please,” I say, and he seems very pleased with my answer.

He kisses me again, this time on my neck and breasts, making me wild with desire. His hand trails down to my buttocks and then he touches my clit again, this time applying a little more pressure.

I feel the tension inside of me exploding, and a soul-shattering orgasm reverberates through every part of my body.

After I calm down, Damon picks me up and takes me to his room.

I help him undress and then I look at him. His sensual magnetism makes me want him again without him saying a word. Undressed, he is the most beautiful man I have ever seen.

I tried to date after I broke up with my fiancé, but now, I realize why I didn't like any of them. None had the same charm and sensuality Damon does.

My hands touch his sandy blonde hair and pull him down for a kiss.

Damon touches my breast, kneading the already hardened nipple. Shocks run through my whole body, and I feel his cock next to my hip.

"I want to be inside you so bad, baby," he tells me hoarsely in my ear. I instinctively touch his abs, and I’m full of desire.

"I have no idea how I resisted not touching you for so many days. I want to hide you in my bed and never let you go again. Your curves drive me crazy with desire," he says and puts my hand on his cock.

"Tell me you want me as much as I want you, Daisy. You're all I could think about these last few days."

"I do want you, Damon. So much. Make love to me," I plead.

He pushes me gently onto the bed, climbing on top of me. “Open your knees,” he asks, and I gladly oblige.

Every inch of my body lights up
with desire when he enters me. His deep, steady strokes shake me, and he cries with pure pleasure. I come in quivering waves, but his eruption is violent and virile, leaving him gasping.

I want to get up and go to my room, but Damon grabs my hand. “That's just the beginning, baby. Don’t even think about it. After burning for you for so many days, don’t even think about me letting you go. It’s just the beginning,” he says.

“Okay,” I say. He’s a mystery to me, this man that came so suddenly into my life and makes me want to start living again. I wonder if he has done this before with other clients, but I can’t ask him that. It’s none of my business anyway. I’ll just enjoy this little fling until we can get back to reality.

  Chapter 5

  Damon

I made love to her all night, and we are both tired, but she’s insisted on working. She smiled more today and is more carefree. I dare say, she looks happy. I made her coffee and breakfast, happy to drink my coffee and stare at her while she works. I nudge her foot underneath the table. She raises her eyebrows but doesn’t stop typing. “What?”

“What are you working on over there? What’s more important than your new live-in boyfriend?”

She wears a sheepish smile. “Is that what you are? I’m sorry, Damon, I don’t mean to ignore you, it’s just that I have to finish this project. I like my job, and it’s all I have,” she says, and I realize it’s the first thing about her that she’s told me since the scene in the car.

“Why do you say that?” I ask.

She shrugs and stops typing to look at me underneath her glasses. “Because it’s true. I’m not a nice person.”

“Daisy, what are you talking about? I’m sure you have friends, and you told me about your sister.”
